A note of detail in regards to the difference between the model 1527 and 1526 from Jim Silver:

"The Model number is 1527 and first year of production was 1925 through around 1940. There are two small ridges just under the vents on top stack on the #1526. Only one ridge on the #1527 closer to the bottom of upper stack."
