FROM JIM SILVER:

"The #120 was a smaller heater I call a Junior because of it’s size. Wick - flame spreader and gallery are same as larger founts. The time line of this heater is from left to right. Started about 1900 and was the #100 series until around 1915 when Perfection started the #500 series along with the #500 wicks. The #510 & #520 replaced the #120.

If that’s the 3 leg version, it’s a smaller fount"

    Hello Les,

There should be mica behind the front viewing area.

I have a Perfection Model 160, triangle tag. Age? It has been painted all flat black by someone. Is there supposed to have glass in the metal vents?

Hello Mr. Silver. I’m so grateful to have found your page. We found a 160 with a triangle label in our basement under our farm house. On the bottom vent plate it says, “patented June 17, 1913”. I’d love to send you pictures to see if you can tell me if it is the first 160 model made (rather than 160-B). We also found a tall lamp that burns oil as well as what appears to be an oil stove lighter. Would love some direction on what it is and what they used it for in the beautiful wheat fields of the Palouse farming area in Washington state!

    Thanks for your time!

Hi..we had a barn find of a rusty 150 second edition. The one pictured in the website is gorgeous. Have no expertise in restoration as a nurse but is there value in trying to sell and ship to someone who would give it the TLC it deserves? Thank you…

    Hello Rick,

The value of your Model 120 Heater depends entirely on condition of course. One indicator is to check the SOLD items on Ebay for that particular model. It will give you a good idea about your heater.

Hi. I found a model 120 triangle tag like yours pictured. It has no color left (rusty) but it does have the burner complete. Does it have value?

I have one of these heaters which include the brass container for oil. It had original paint in good condition. Do you know where I can sell it? Thank you

Also please note about the comment if it is a '3 legged' version. Definitely a smaller fuel fount.

    Mike,

You would need to get measurements from whoever is selling a smaller fuel fount and then see if those measurements would accommodate your 120.

you have said the 120 font is smaller, how do I tell the size if the ones I have seen on e-bay only show the pics not what they came out of or what they will fit?

    Hi Kevin,
